“Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.”
(Proverbs 27:1 ESV)
“Come now, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit’ yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, ‘If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.’”
(James 4:13-15 ESV)
I was watching a tv show last night. It was Untold Stories of the ER. A doctor made the statement, “There’s always tomorrow.” God told me not necessarily. We don’t know how long we have. Tomorrow is not promised to us.
I volunteered on the local ambulance for almost 10 years. I have seen a lot in those years. Enough to know that a fender bender can kill someone while a head-on collision doesn’t. You’d think everyone died, but they walked away with maybe a few scratches and bruises.
We had a baby die of SIDS while an older person lives on with dementia, not knowing even who they are.
God doesn’t promise us tomorrow. He knows how long we have while we don’t. We need to live every minute like it’s our last. We need to tell others about God while we are still breathing. I encourage you to go out today and tell others about your God and how wonderful He is.
Have a fabulous day, everyone.
