Mistakes

“Though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.”

(Psalm 37:24 ESV)

“Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.”

Proverbs 28:13 ESV

“For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.”

James 3:2 ESV

Google defines mistakes as “an action or judgment that is misguided or wrong.”

I made a mistake. I know. Unbelievable, right? I’m just kidding. I’m not perfect, and I make mistakes. I won’t go into what I did because it’s not important now. Besides, I beat myself up enough about it and will make it right. The main thing is that I repented. And even though the devil keeps wanting to remind me of it, I repented and apologized, and that’s all that’s important. God forgave me because after I got done beating myself up, God asked if I was done? I said yes and repented. God said, “Good. Now move on.” So I did. It’s important to humbly accept correction from God. He does know what’s best for us.

So next time you make a mistake, humbly accept God’s correction and repent. Then move on, and when the devil comes to remind you of it, remind him you have already been forgiven.

Have a great day, everyone.
