“And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.”
(Psalm 9:10 ESV)
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; in my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song, I give thanks to him.”
(Psalm 28:7 ESV)
I remember this song from many years ago. It, at least the first line, can apply to our walk with God.
Before you get bent out of shape, let me explain. How many times have you wished for something? Like, I wish I had a rib eye with loaded baked potato? Well, that wish can turn into hope. And then you’re thinking about it. But the last is praying.
Now, I have never prayed for a rib eye. But if we put all of that into our walk with God, it makes sense. As a baby Christian, I wished for a closer walk with God. But then wishing turned into hoping. But as I started to grow, thinking took over. I would meditate on scriptures. That brought me closer to God. And the last, praying. My prayer time became more important to me. I prayed more. I joined an online prayer group.
I have made friends all over the world just by praying for them. Some still keep in contact with me because they know I will pray for them. I have gone from wishing and hoping to knowing God. I can talk to Him anytime, and He will answer.
So study your life. Where are you in your walk?
Have a blessed day, everyone.
