I was reading my Bible yesterday morning when the bookmarks kept sliding. I have my parents’ laminated obituaries from the funeral home as bookmarks. My mom’s is marking Psalm 91, and my dad’s travels as I read. God reminded me today that they represent my parents. Mom liked to stay in one place while my dad liked to move around.

Mom told me that by the time I was 12, we had moved 21 times. I have actually moved 29 times in my 68 years. I don’t like packing and moving. But God had a plan when we moved here. If we had stayed in town we lived in, I would have flunked 8th grade. The teacher was not very good and did not really teach the constitution. The school I moved to, the teacher taught it so everyone could pass it. And I did.

God has a plan for our lives. Has life always been easy? No. But God never promised an easy life. I encourage you today to find the plan God has for your life and start living it.
