“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.”
(Ephesians 6:11 ESV)
“Submit yourselves, therefore, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
(James 4:7 ESV)
Pastor told us a story Tuesday night about a guy who was trying to break up a slab of concrete with a sledge hammer. He kept hitting it until it finally cracked. Then he knew he could break it up. The devil is like that guy. He keeps hitting at us until there is a crack. Then he has access to us. He sends in demons to widen that crack.
But we have protection. We have armor. But you have to put the armor on. We need to be careful to avoid cracks that allow the devil in. He will take just one small crack and keep chipping at it until it’s a big opening. But in addition to having armor, we have access to the blood of Jesus. By applying the blood, we have protection.
Let the blood of Jesus flow over you, sealing any cracks. The blood is a powerful weapon.
Have a great day, everyone.
