For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you. And nations shall come to your light and kings to the brightness of your rising.”

“For the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.”

(Proverbs 24:16 ESV)

It’s time for the children of God to rise up and take our rightful place in this world. This world is quickly going crazy and we need to be the light.

The logo for my church is a lighthouse. A lighthouse is put in place to shine a light to warn ships of dangerous areas. We are lighthouses to the lost. We shine God’s love to others. We shine not only for the lost but for those who have lost their way back to God. We are a light in the darkness, so others can see. God’s glory shines through us. We light up dark places. We shine a light on the evil running rampant in the world today.

Are you a light for others? Do you allow your light to shine so others can find their way to God? Are you an example of God’s love? We all have that ability. We need to make sure our light shines for all to see. We need to bring in the lost. So I encourage you today to refill yourself with God’s word and then shine your light for all to see. Rise up and take your place to let your light shine.
