It Isn’t Your Battle

by | Oct 26, 2023 | Battle

“And that all this assembly may know that the Lord saves not with sword and spear. For the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hand.”

(1 Samuel 17:47 ESV)

“The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”

(Exodus 14:14 ESV)

“Submit yourselves, therefore, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

(James 4:7 ESV)

There are a lot of verses in the Bible that say the battle doesn’t belong to us. The battle belongs to the Lord:

“He said: ‘Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.'”

(2 Chronicles 20:15 NIV)

How many times do we think that we are all alone in our battles? There have been many times when I felt alone as I battled the enemy. But I was never alone. Jesus was right beside me. He was fighting for me.

It has taken me a long time to finally realize that I could rest in my living Saviors arms while He fought my battles. But it has become a lot easier for me since I learned that Jesus is fighting for me.  God will also send warring angels to fight for us. They will take on the enemy for us.

It’s good to know  we have someone fighting for us. They will take on the enemy for us. The devil is pulling out all the stops because he knows the end is coming and he loses. He doesn’t like to lose, so he tries to make us miserable. But we have Jesus and the angels on our side fighting for us. All we have to do is give the battle we going through to Jesus and let Him fight for us.

Whatever battle you have raging right now, give it to Jesus. Then rest safely in the loving arms of Jesus.

Have a wonderful day, everyone.
