“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong doing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.”
(1 Corinthians 13:4-8 ESV)
“Let all that you do be done in love.”
(1 Corinthians 16:14 ESV)
Google defines love as “an intense feeling of deep affection.”
There are times when I do not walk in love. Sometimes, I can’t even walk in like. There are just some people who push my buttons or get on my last nerve. Those are the ones who need my love the most.
There are times when I wonder if Jesus always walked in love. Did He ever mutter under His breath about someone or roll His eyes at something someone did?
I don’t really think He did, but He probably wanted to. Jesus is a good example of love. He is love. He loves everyone unconditionally. Me, not so much. But there’s this thing called forgiveness. It was “suggested” yesterday in church before we took communion that we forgive people. God showed me a couple of people that I had unforgiveness in my heart over. I let it go and feel a lot better about them.
Do you walk in love in all areas of your life? Do you hold unforgiveness about someone?
It’s time to let it all go and start walking in love.
Have a blessed day, everyone.
