“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

“You shall not be in dread of them, for the Lord your God is in your midst, a great and awesome God.”
(Deuteronomy 7:21 ESV)
According to google, “Fear is what we experience before an event, and dread is what we experience after the event.” Not sure I totally believe that. I usually dread something before it happens.
I don’t like either one. But we don’t have to live there. The song Leaning On The Everlasting Arms comes to mind.
“What have I to dread, what have I to fear,

Leaning on the everlasting arms;
I have blessed peace with my Lord so near,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

If we would just lean on those everlasting arms, we would not have fear or dread. We don’t have to live there when we have Jesus on our side. Jesus takes all our fear and dread. He gives us peace and contentment. All we have to do is give it all to Jesus.
