“So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.”

(1 John 4:16 ESV)

Do you ever wonder if God really loves you? Well, let me tell you, He does! He loves each and every one of us. He grieves for the lost. 

God grieves. I would have never thought God would grieve, but He does. After all, He did create each of us. We are His beloved children. Why wouldn’t He grieve when one is lost. But you know something? God never gives up on us. He fights for us until our last breath.

I know God loves me. He sent His son to die on the cross for our sins.

Imagine that. God knew us from the beginning of time. I have wondered about that. Did God name us all, or did He leave that to our parents. Which ever, I’m glad He stepped in as far as my name. Mom wanted to name me Barbara, but Grandma Keller didn’t like Barbara. She said I would be named after the doll. So mom changed her mind. I like my name much better. So I know God loves me because He takes good care of me. When I get out of the way and let Him.

God loves you, too. He will take care of you too if you let Him. So my advice to you today. Rest in God’s loving arms. Let Him take care of you. God loves you.
