“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
(Hebrews 13:8 ESV)
“For everything, there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven.”
(Ecclesiastes 3:1 ESV)
I hear change is a good thing. Sometimes I agree, and sometimes I don’t. I do agree that change is necessary in order to grow. But some changes come quite rapidly, it seems.
I gave my life to Jesus many years ago as a child. But I got disillusioned by the church and walked away. I didn’t walk away from Jesus, just the church. But changes happened, circumstances changed, and I went back to church. A different church. Then changes really happened, especially in the past couple of years.
I have a heart for kids, especially troubled or broken ones. I still have that, but my ministry has changed. My ministry now is to encourage others, to pray for others. God has been very patient with me as these changes were taking place. I am still a work in progress and always will be until my number comes up, and I finally go home for good.
Change is good for you. We get stale and stagnant if we stay the same all the time. We weren’t meant to stay the same all our lives.
As I get older, I realize that I missed out on a lot of things. But it doesn’t matter. I am closing in on who I am supposed to be in the body of Christ. And that is all that is important to me.
So when changes come, embrace them. They could be really great.
Have a great day, everyone.
