I watched a movie on Netflix last night based on a real life event. It was about a shelter dog, Ruby, that was unadoptable. Every family that took her brought her back. It was also about a cop who wanted to be on the canine search and rescue unit but he couldn’t afford a purebred dog. He ended up adopting Ruby. Both of them, along with his wife, had to learn to believe in each other. In the end, Ruby rescued the lost son of the shelter worker who fought to keep Ruby from being put down. Ruby and the cop made the canine unit.

How many times do we put our trust in someone and then get let down? For me, more times than I can count. But there is Someone who will never let us down. That Someone is Jesus. He is there every time we call on Him. He is there even if we think we don’t need Him. Jesus is the way, the light and the truth. He is on call 24/7. His line is never busy and He won’t duck your call.

So if someone has let you down, call on the one person who will never let you down, Jesus! Jesus loves you and so do I!
