“A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.” (Proverbs 29:11 ESV)
“For the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” (James 1:20 ESV)
I had the perfect opportunity to get mad this morning. I was proofreading my devotional and accidentally erased over half of it. But I didn’t. I recognized what was going on and kept my joy. The devil is mad because I am letting God is work in my life. God has something good coming for me because devil has been attacking me so much lately.
Let me tell you what the devil has been up to in my life recently. It started Sunday after church. After service Sunday, my legs didn’t want to work. It took me 3 tries just to stand up. Then walking to my car was an adventure in balance. But I made it. Then Tuesday, my chest hurt. Not heart attack hurt but respiratory hurt. It felt almost like when I had pneumonia many years ago. I thought about staying home from church for a brief second but I didn’t. I went. It hurt all that evening but was gone the next morning. Then Wednesday morning I got up with a stopped up head. It felt like a head cold starting. But I kept going. I even made a batch of peach butter.
Then this morning, I accidentally erased most of my devotional. It was good too. Someone needed to hear it, but the devil didn’t want them to. Sorry about that. It was on being kind to each other. We need to take the example of how Jesus lived. I have read the Bible cover to cover and haven’t found anywhere that says Jesus was rude to people.
We need to live like Jesus did. Take His attitude of kindness everywhere you go. Let’s change the world, at least our part of it, by being kind to each other. And always remember, Jesus loves you and so do I.
Have a great day everyone. I’m going to!
