Whose Report Will You Believe?

by | Apr 5, 2023 | Faith, Seeking, Trust

“And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.” (Psalm 9:10 ESV)

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” (Proverbs 3:5 ESV)

Have you ever gotten bad news and wanted a second opinion? I have. The only second opinion we need is our trust in God.

I have spent the last few months with pain in my neck. I know, I am a pain in the neck. Ha ha. I figured I’d wait it out until my doctor’s appointment next month. I never told anyone about this. Pastor had several people lay hands on me last Tuesday night. One rubbed the back of my neck, exactly the spot where it hurt. It felt like electricity going into my body. The pain left. The tearing sensation is gone. Oh, it tried to come back a few times but I stood against it. No pain all day yesterday. Not even a twinge.

Another person was praying over my legs and was rubbing my thigh. She was praying for healing. I felt a warmth coming from her hand. I have neuropathy in my legs. A recent nerve test showed it is getting worse. If I had believed that report, I would still be in pain and not walking better. As I left church Tuesday night, I noticed I walked taller and sure footed. Not something I usually do.

Whose report will you believe? Have faith and trust God’s report. By the stripes of Jesus we are healed. Grab it, claim it, have faith and trust. Believe God’s report, not man’s.

Have a great day everyone.
