“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them.” (Psalm 145:18-19 ESV)

“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14 ESV)

There’s a movie about an alien called ET. I have not seen the movie nor do I care to. But there is a phrase that came from the movie from what I was told, “ET phone home.” For some reason that phrase popped into my mind last night. It got me to thinking. When was the last time you phoned Jesus?

I don’t mean on your cell phone. The roaming charges would be outrageous. What I mean is, when was the last time you had a talk with Jesus? You can chat with Jesus. He will talk back to you if you just listen. 

There’s a song called “Have A Little Talk With Jesus”:

“Now let us have a little talk with Jesus.

Let us tell Him all about our troubles.

He will hear our faintest cry.

And He will answer by and by.” (Have a Little Talk With Jesus by the Oakridge Boys)

Jesus will chat with you. He loves to talk to us. He will guide us, protect us and provide for us. I want to encourage you to sit down, get quiet and talk to Jesus as if He was right in front of you. He is there you know. And He will listen to you. Pour out your heart to Him. He wants to fix everything in our lives. So as the song says, have a little talk with Jesus and tell Him all about your troubles.
