“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.” (2 Timothy 3:1-5 ESV)
“Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” (Matthew 24:44 ESV)
I read this in Reader’s Digest: “Redditors reveals the dimmest bulbs they’ve encountered: A work colleague once asked whether any of those ancient prophecies about the end of the world actually came true.”
First, I can’t believe someone would actually be silly enough to ask that. If they had already come true we wouldn’t be here. Common sense was not in play there. Next, the end is near. It’s getting closer every day. Oh, I know. I’ve heard that we are living in the end times since I was a child. I’m 67 years old so I have heard it a long time.
I was raised Pentecostal. You know the ones who don’t believe in jewelry other than a watch and wedding ring. The women don’t cut their hair and they wear skirts or dresses. I don’t know about other churches but the one I grew up in he preached at least once a month on the end times.
I didn’t believe it back then but I do now. This old world has gone crazy. Jesus is coming soon. It’s time we all got our lives in order. Jesus really is coming back soon. Are you ready?
Today is a good day to repent and ask Jesus into your heart. Keep an eye on the sky. Jesus will be coming soon because the end is near.
Have a great day everyone.
