I Surrender

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV)

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28 ESV)

I was praying in tongues while taking a shower yesterday morning. Next thing I knew, all I was saying was I surrender. I have a few things going on in my life right now that I don’t know how to deal with. So I surrender all to God.

According to google, surrender is, “cease resistance to an enemy or opponent and submit to their authority.” God is neither an enemy nor an opponent. But He is my fortress. He is my rock. He will take care of all my problems, all I have to do is let Him.

I was reading a booklet yesterday. It said we need to stop praying the problem. We need to pray the answer. That is a hard thing for me to do. I just want to keep asking God to fix my problem. But I need to focus on the answer and not the problem. So I have changed my approach to these issues coming at me at breakneck speed. I am just going to keep thanking God for taking care of them.

The Lord has my back. He will provide for everything I need. He hasn’t failed me yet so why do I think He will now? He won’t!!

A scripture that I need to remember is Matthew 7:7: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” (ESV) All I have to do is ask once. Then believe I have it. “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19, NIV)

What more needs  said? God will supply all my needs. And if He will do it for me, He will do it for you.

So whatever you have need of today, ask and believe you have it. God loves us and wants us to have what we need and somethings we desire.

Have a great day everyone.
