Bloom Where You Are Planted

“Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.”

(Genesis 1:28 NIV)

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

(Jeremiah 17:7-8 NIV)

There was a birthday party for our pastor Saturday. We got snowed on that day. Unexpected on my part. At my church we have rose bushes around the front porch. Those lovely red roses are still blooming. Even though the temperature was below freezing and they had a lot of snow on them, they were still blooming.

That is how we should be. God puts us in certain places for a reason. We need to bloom and show God’s love wherever we are.

God planted me at New Beginnings Church in Belleville, IL. It’s a bit of a drive but it’s worth it to me. I have grown so much in my walk with God in my now 15 years of going there. God planted me under 2 fantastic ministers who truly care for their flock.

While looking for scriptures I found this.

“Bloom where you’re planted. The sentiment can be found in Scripture, but not the exact words: ‘bloom where you are planted.’ The popular phrase means to be fruitful, make the best of life when it throws lemons at you, and do what’s right, even when it’s hard.” (Danielle Bernock)

So bloom where God planted you. Show God’s love everywhere you go.

Have a blessed day.
