Salvation

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

(Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV)

“Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

(Romans 10:9 ESV)

I know I talk a lot about salvation and where you will spend eternity. I do it because I care about you and don’t want you in hell, burning and being tortured for eternity. Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He gave it all for us. Can’t we at least think about what he did for us?

Let me break it down. Jesus came to earth. He lived, He grew up and around the age of 30 began His ministry. Just three years later, He was crucified. He was nailed to a cross. But even while He was on the cross, He cried for mercy for the very people killing him.

Could you have done that? Could you have begged God for mercy for others  while in intense pain? I’m not sure I could. But then, Jesus is a better person than me.

God wants us all to be saved. He wants us to repent so He can forgive us. Are you ready? Will you answer God’s call today?

“Dear God, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”

I hope you prayed this prayer. If so congratulations. You are part of the family of God. If not, please think about it. Time is getting really short.

Jesus is coming back soon. I hope you will be ready. If I go before you, look me up in heaven. I will be playing with the kids.

Have a fabulous day everyone. God loves you and so do I.
