“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
(1 John 4:1 ESV)
“Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!”
(2 Corinthians 13:5 ESV)
I was recently hooked up with Pureflix. My daughter and son in law put me on their account. He taught me how to navigate the app and even recommended some movies. He told me about the God’s Not Dead movies. I watched 2 of them Tuesday night. Best thing I have done in a long time.
A statement was made in the second one that caught my attention.
“During a test, the teacher is quiet.”
That is a very true statement. Teachers are quiet during a test. Jesus is quiet when we go through tests. Actually I don’t believe He Is quiet, we just become so preoccupied with our problems we don’t hear him. We get overwhelmed with what is going on in our lives that we can’t hear Jesus talking to us. But if we put our focus back on Jesus then we will be able to hear His voice.
We can let the test get the better of us or we can turn them over to Jesus and let Him handle them. The choice is yours. Do you continue on the destructive path or do you turn to Jesus and walk in the light? Turn your test into a testimony. And then share that testimony to build up others. In this day we all need good news.
Have a blessed day everyone.
