I saw a post on Facebook yesterday about kindness.  A person was checking out and asked the cashier and the worker with her what kind of candy  bar they liked. Then he bought them a candy bar. It made them smile. It’s nice to be able to make someone smile. When you do, it puts a smile on your face too. 

People just don’t do as many nice things for each other anymore. My home care worker does though. Every once in awhile she will bring me something. Sometimes it’s a special treat or something I need. The other day she brought me a shoe rack she found at a thrift store.  I didn’t know I needed one but now my shoes are neatly stored at the end of my bed. That put a smile on my face.

It’s time we got back to making people smile. It’s time to start spreading kindness. What would Jesus do? He would love on us. He does love on us. Sometimes we are so caught up in our own problems we just don’t feel His love. We need to get out of our heads and start feeling with our hearts. We need to check on people. Check on the elderly. Sometimes the elderly don’t have anyone who checks on them. Sometimes they just need a voice saying hi, how are you today?

So spread some happiness today and it will come back to you 100 fold.
