I have a couple of friends that I have known for about 25 years. We kind of drifted apart a few years ago. I ran into him one day and he told me he and his wife were divorced. When I asked what happened. He said she told him one day they had grown apart and she had met someone else. She wanted a divorce. He was devastated. But he moved on. Both are very happy now. Even though her words didn’t put him down or was angry, they still hurt him. 

Words have incredible power. They can build up or cut down. I have been hearing of so many people divorcing or breaking up. I wonder why? I can tell you why. They opened a door and let the devil come in. Once he has a foothold, he increases his hold on you. He will put ideas in your head that are contrary to what you know is right. He will lead you as far away from God as possible. Before you know it, you are on the dark side, wondering what happened.

For Star Wars fans you will be running with the storm troopers, serving Darth Vader. Scary thought. Then you will start scrambling to find your way back, eventually. Sooner than later I hope.

But there is a way back. Turn to Jesus. Ask forgiveness. Walk away from whatever lured you into the sin. Jesus is waiting. He will welcome you back with open arms. So look at your life.  Are you living for God? Today is a good day to think about the direction your life is going.

I took a good long look at my life and am changing it. I don’t spend enough time with God. That has to change as of right now.
