“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

(Galatians 6:9 ESV)

 According to google, perseverance is defined as, “Persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.”

As of today, I have written 858 devotionals. There have been times I wanted to quit. But God kept saying no. Keep going. I know I have sent out some repeats but not very many. God gives me a topic almost every day.

People have asked why I do this. My answer is because God told me to. This is my ministry for this period of time.

I don’t know how long it will go on but I will keep doing it as long as God tells me to.

God has been teaching me to persevere in all areas of my life. God is a great teacher. He is also patient when I whine about quitting. Those times are when I hear him gently say, “Feed my children. They need to hear the word. So keep feeding my children.”

So on I go. It’s time we all learned a little perseverance.  

What if Jesus just threw up his hands and quit? What if he got tired of trying to get people saved. Where would we be right now if He had given up?

So with salvation on my mind and heart, here’s the sinners prayer for you again. Even if you are saved, it doesn’t hurt to say it again. Renew your life to God.

“Dear God, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”

I hope you prayed this prayer and meant it. Time really is short.
