Make a Difference

“Let all that you do be done in love.”

(1 Corinthians 16:14 ESV)

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

(John 3:16 ESV)

I was scrolling through Facebook last night when a picture of a sunflower caught my eye. I stopped to read the article. It was about a guy who bought a sunflower for a girl he only dated once. But something changed his mind and he decided to just give it to some random person.

As he was sitting drinking his coffee, he saw a girl crying. He knew she was the one for the flower. When he handed it to her she “flew into his arms.”

It seems her fiance had died a few months before and he always bought her sunflowers because she brightened his life.

I am saying this because you never know who needs a little encouragement. You might be the one who needs to encourage them. Just something as simple as giving someone a hug can brighten a person’s day. Just a random act of kindness.

I got a very pleasant surprise in the mail yesterday. A friend had told me I had a surprise coming for my birthday. This is a lady I have only met once. But she is on my daily text list and has become a very special friend to me. She brightens my day. She sends me encouragement almost everyday.

We all need to encourage each other. You never know what someone is going through and your kind words may be just what is needed.

They say love makes the world go round. I say we start with showing love to friends, family and neighbors and work out from there. If God could show so much love for us to send His only son to die for us, can’t we at least smile at a stranger? I challenge you to find a way today to make someone else’s life a little brighter. You never know the impact it may have on them.

Have a great day everyone.

Have a great day.
