“And he said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'”
(Matthew 22:37-39 ESV)
“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
(1 Corinthians 13:13 ESV)
I was watching a show yesterday and one of the characters said, “It’s not about who or how many love you. It’s about who you love.”
That got me to thinking. That is a very true statement. It doesn’t matter who loves you. Or if anyone loves you. It’s about who you love. Do you love yourself? Or do you hate the face looking back at you in the mirror?
I used to not like myself. I think it was because I didn’t like the person I had become. I spent a lot of years avoiding mirrors because I didn’t like the person looking back at me.
But then I realized Jesus still loves me. He never stopped. But He did keep chipping away at my exterior until I found myself again. I spent years seeking others approval when all I really needed was my saviors approval. Which I had all along. That’s all any of us really need. But we already have the love of Jesus. He loves us unconditionally. Always has, always will.
So who do you love? Do you love the person looking back at you in the mirror? Do you love Jesus? I really hope so, on both questions.

Jesus Loves Me by Anna Bartlett Warner
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to him belong.
They are weak but he is strong.
Yes, Jesus loves me.
Yes, Jesus loves me.
Yes, Jesus loves me.
For the Bible tells me so.”
Like the song says, “Jesus loves me.” He loves you too.
Have a great day everyone.
