“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”

(Hebrews 11:6 ESV)

Remember that game? I always had so much fun, hiding from my friends or even being the one to seek them out. But how many times do we do that with God? I was in my car yesterday and had the radio on. The announcer was talking about this very subject. He asked if we ever played it with God. I started thinking about what he said.

God is always with us. He never leaves our side. But there are times when we feel God is far away, like He is hiding from us. But He isn’t. When we feel that way, it’s us who are trying to  hide from God. He is still beside us, waiting for us to acknowledge his presence.

Childhood games were fun. But it’s time we grew up and left those games behind. It’s time to take our place in the kingdom and serve our Lord. There’s an important job to be done. That job is to tell the world Jesus is coming back soon. I have heard my whole life that we are living in the end times. But, my friend, we really are now. It won’t be much longer until Jesus comes back to get the ones who are ready.

Are you ready? I pray you are. It’s time to stop hiding from God and fall into his arms. Repent and claim his as your savior. It’s not too late yet.
