“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’”
(John 8:12 ESV)
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
(2 Timothy 4:7 ESV)
Jesus is coming back. We need to tell the world. We need to get people prepared.
There’s a song called “The Commission”, sung by Cain:
“Go tell the world about me.
“The Commission” by Cain
I was dead but now I live.
I’ve gotta go now for a little while.
But goodbye is not the end.”
Jesus was dead but now he lives. He died on the cross for us, so we could live and go to heaven when our time here is over. But what about while we are still here? We have problems to deal with, issues that weigh us down.
There’s a song called “I Will Carry You”, sung by Ellie Holcomb:
“I will carry you.
I Will Carry You by Ellie Holcomb
Through your darkest night.
When you’re terrified,
I will carry you.
When the waters rise.
When your hope runs dry.
I will carry you.”
He will. Jesus will carry you when you can’t go on. When problems drag you down, lean on Jesus. He will carry you. Roll all your worries, concerns, problems and issues onto Jesus. He will carry them for you. He will work it all out for you if you will let Him. He wants to take care of us.
So when life is dragging you down, let Jesus carry you. He has strong arms and broad shoulders if need to cry on someone’s shoulder for awhile. So let Jesus carry your burdens and you go tell the world about our living savior.
Have a great day.
