“And Jesus answered them, ‘Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, “Be taken up and thrown into the sea,” it will happen.'”
(Matthew 21:21 ESV)
“‘For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,’ says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”
(Isaiah 54:10 ESV)
I have a mountain in my path. Sadly it’s mountain of my own making. But God is helping me move it. He is starting slow so I learn a lesson. He gave me a child’s sandbox shovel to start digging. It’s slow work but I can see it starting to move. I hope the next shovel He gives is a big mechanical shovel the coal mines use.
But even if I have to move the whole mountain with a small plastic shovel, I will do it. My faith had slipped a little. Just a bit, but it’s building again.
You see, things happen. Life gets in the way. We let the cares of the world come in and before you know it, there’s a mountain in your way. That’s when you grab that mustard seed of remaining faith and put it to work. You would be surprised at how much can be done with just a tiny amount of faith.
You see, if God can find even a tiny amount of faith left in us, He can use it to start rebuilding our faith. I don’t know about you but I am so tired of the devil stealing from me. He has stolen so much from me. He has taken finances, time, friendships and who knows what else. Well, I call it all back right now. I draw my line in the sand. He has no right in my life. He is not welcome here.
So if you have a mountain, or mountains, in front of you, get out your shovel and start digging. Start rebuilding your faith. Read the Bible more, pray more, just talk to God. Pour your heart out to Him. He is listening.
Have a great day.
