(Luke 6:36 ESV)
“Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.”
“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.”
(Matthew 5:7 ESV)
I was listening to Ernie Haase and Signature Sound. They sang “Water Walking God.” Below is the chorus. Read it carefully.
“Water walking God.
Water Walking God by Ernie Haase and Signature Sound
He will come to where you are.
You’re not too lost, You’re not that far.
When you’re caught in stormy weather
And you’re no match for the waves
Well the water walking God
Is gonna come and save the day.”
If you’re going through a storm, no matter what it is. Kids could be acting crazy, in-laws going nuts, finances too tight, car trouble or whatever. God is there. He will walk on water to get to you. He will bulldoze mountains over to find you.
“God will make a way.
God Will Make a Way by Don Moen
Where there seems to be no way.
He works in ways we cannot see.
He will make a way for me.
He will be my guide,
Hold me closely to His side.
With love and strength for each new day.
He will make a way,
He will make a way for me.”
It’s a good day for songs. The above is God Will Make A Way. And He will. He works things out sometimes before we even know we have a problem.
Let me ask a question. Have you ever had some money come in, you don’t know how, but just think great! But before you can do anything with it, your car breaks down, you get a flat or maybe your kid decided to go out for sports and needed equipment. And whatever it was, the “extra money” was just enough to cover that expense. God already worked it out. Did you thank Him? You should.
God is always there. He will never leave your side. If He seems far away, think a minute. What are you doing? Are you seeking Him or just phoning it in, hoping to make it sound good? He doesn’t want us phoning it in.
I have been guilty of it too. Don’t think I am looking down on you because we all do it. We all need to get with it though. Call up God and have a talk. He will always take your call.
Have a great day.
