“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”
(Isaiah 43:2 ESV)
“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”
(Deuteronomy 31:6 ESV)
There’s a song called Build A Boat sung by Colton Dixon:
“I’ll build a boat in the desert place.
Build a Boat by Colton Dixon
And when the flood and the water starts to rise, yeah.
I’ll ride the storm ’cause I got You by my side.
With Your wind in my sails, Your love never fails or fades.
I’ll build a boat, so let it rain.”
Storms are on the horizon. Times are getting tough. I went grocery shopping yesterday and the shelves were pretty well stocked but the frozen section had some pretty bare spots. I hear there is going to be a wheat shortage. That means no bread, rolls, crackers, pasta, ect. But you know there are ways around that. As long as you have flour, make your own bread or biscuits. Or have someone do it for you.
But there are some pretty bad storms coming. But we as Christians have a safety net. Jesus! If we plant our feet on the Rock, we can’t be moved. Jesus is our Rock. He is the Rock of Salvation. He will take care of us.
“On Christ the solid rock I stand. All other ground is sinking sand.” I choose to the solid rock, Christ. But as the song says,
“With Your wind in my sails,
Build a Boat by Colton Dixon
Your love never fails or fades.
I’ll build a boat, so let it rain.”
As long as I have Jesus, let it rain. His love never fails or fades. He is always with us.
So when the storms of life hit, build a boat and let it rain.
Have a great day.
