“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.”
(Ecclesiastes 3:1 ESV)
“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”
(Deuteronomy 31:6 ESV)
I saw the following somewhere awhile back and wrote it down. I thought then it would be a good topic sometime down the road. That sometime is now:
“When you replace,
Author Unknown
‘Why is this happening to me’ with
‘What is this trying to teach me?’
Everything changes.”
I am speaking from experience here. A few years ago it seemed like everything bad happened to me over and over. I would go into defense mode and try to fix it. But never once did I learn anything from the experience. Until after I started serving Jesus more. Once I turned my life around, things got better. Oh, don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t overnight. It was a process. But once I learned that everything happens for a reason, and there is a lesson to be learned, I got it. I learned to look for the lesson.
Now I keep my eyes open for the lessons Jesus has for me. For example. My good friend moved to Georgia. I miss her and her help in crafts and other things. But I have a place to go visit and get away from home for awhile.
I have learned to control myself in many areas of my life. Now that I live on social security, I am careful about spending. I don’t buy what I don’t need. Sometimes it’s hard but I have learned to wait and save for it. I appreciate it a lot more by saving for it. But the main thing I have learned in my walk with Jesus is that Je loves me. He will supply all my needs, not just some of them. He will even throw in a few of my wants too.
But it’s not just me that He helps. Jesus is there for all of us. He wants to provide for you too. All you have to do is let Him.
Now stop the why’s and ask what lesson am I to learn?
Have a great day.
