“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
(Romans 15:13 NKJ)
“For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”
(Psalm 30:5 NKJ
I was talking to God last night. I was asking Him what to write about for today. He said, “Look at your finger.” So I did. There was a smiley face sticker on it. God said, “There’s your topic.”
So I’m thinking about it. How do I write about a smiley sticker? It’s round, shiny and has a smiley face on it. But then I got to thinking about my day. It didn’t go so good or as planned. I had a few things go wrong. But I saw those problems yesterday as the devils dirty work. He tried to bring me down to his level. But God reminded me. Smile. He loves it when his children smile. Because when we smile, we radiate love.
And when we smile, others see it and then maybe will share a smile with someone else. And so on and so on. And before you know it, a bunch of people are smiling just because you smiled at that one person.
Google defines smile as, “To form one’s features into a pleased, kind, or amused expression, typically with the corners of the mouth turned up and the front teeth exposed.”
Google defines joy as, “A feeling of great pleasure and happiness.”
So smile and let joy radiate out of you. Cheer up a sad person. You might just make them feel better. I feel better when I smile or when someone shares a smile with me.
I have gotten older. I know, shocker right? But as I get older, I realize that people don’t smile as much as they used to. It’s a sad world we live in, but you can still find something to smile about. I have a lady I text every morning. I met her once. She sends me an encouraging text nearly every day. She makes me smile.
So share your smile and God bless you all.
