Throne of Grace

“Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need”

(Hebrews 4:16 ESV)

“But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, ‘God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.’”

(James 4:6 ESV)

God sits on the throne of grace. His grace extends to everyone. God could have sat on any throne. But He sits on the throne of grace.

I would willing to bet that you have experienced God’s grace at least once in your life. Maybe you received money unexpectedly, or even a bill wasn’t as high as you thought it would be. Maybe everyone around you was sick but you didn’t get sick.

Google defines grace as, “Courteous goodwill.”

We, as God’s children, have the right to go into the throne room to seek God’s mercy and grace. We can approach God and ask for what we need. It doesn’t matter what it is, healing for yourself or someone else. Finances or a new car, clothes or groceries or whatever. God knows what we need before we do. But He wants us to have faith and trust him.

Then there are the times we think we are desperate. We bypass what we should do, ask God. Those are times that God will extend His mercy and grace to us.

So no matter what is going on in your life or no matter what you may need, pull on the throne. Seek God and let His grace cover you.

Have a blessed day.
