Study. There WILL Be a Test!

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.”

(2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV)

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

(Joshua 1:8 ESV)

I had some time yesterday morning, while sitting in the car waiting for a friend, to do some Bible study. It was time well spent. In the past I would play roulette with my Bible reading. Wherever it opened, I read. Not a productive way to study the Bible. Especially since that particular Bible usually always opened to Psalm. But I am doing more reading, more researching and studying. I have to. My 89 year old neighbor lady asks me questions that I don’t always know the answer to. So I pull out my Bible or the internet and look it up.

One question has me stumped though. She asked the other day what a soul looks like. I confess, I don’t know. If anyone can help, please do.

But in these ends days, it’s not what our soul looks like but are we saved? It’s very important to study your Bible. It’s full of information about the coming days. It’s a history book. Read it and find out ancient history and future events. It’s also a road map. It can lead you straight to Jesus. So think about it, come up with your own questions then hunt for the answers. It’s always time well spent.

I spent two hours studying in Daniel yesterday morning. I was shocked when I looked at the clock. So get out your Bible, download one to your phone or borrow one. Just get one and start reading. There will be a test. There’s only one question on this test. Where will you spend eternity?

Have a great day.
