Trusting that Small Still Voice

“Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after a lie!”

(Psalm 40:4 NKJ)

“It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.”

(Psalm 118:8 ESV)

Have you ever had a feeling you shouldn’t do something or shouldn’t listen to someone? I have multiple times. I get a little gun shy now. But I do still fall once in awhile. I did last night. I got hooked into a conversation. I knew it sounded too good to be true but I listened. I ended up having to change my passwords on my tablet because of it. But so far, that’s all. But if any of my Facebook friends get a friend invite or strange messages, it isn’t me.

I had that small little voice telling me to drop it. Don’t do it. But I went on.

How many times do we hear God telling us no, don’t do it? But we go ahead anyway? If we would just learn to trust God. If we just go with our gut feeling, we won’t go wrong.

I remember taking my state test for EMT. My instructor told us to trust our gut feeling if we got stuck on a question. Most of the time I did. But the times I didn’t, I missed the question. By listening to that voice, I mean really listening, you won’t go wrong. God will never steer you wrong. He wants only the best for you.

So if you have a gut feeling about something, by all means, listen!

Have a great day and stay safe.
