For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 ESV
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV
Last night I was beat. All I could do was yawn. So I asked God if I could do a rerun, an oldie goldie. He said, “Sure, scroll through Facebook and find an old one. Look for one from the beginning.”
You see, God had a plan and in my exhaustion, I couldn’t see it. So I scrolled way back on the church’s Facebook page. As I got closer to the start, I noticed something. The devotionals back then were short. I just put the scripture addresses, no title and just a couple paragraphs. God showed me how they have changed into what they are today.
Then He showed me how I have changed into who I am today. Today, I am living for God. I do what I can, when I can to further the kingdom of heaven. I may not have a lot of money to sow into people, but I have time. I can sow time into people. I can make things for their ministries, I can sow food into others and help my neighbors.
God has blessed me abundantly with wonderful family and friends. I attend a spirit filled church where the pastors have helped me and encouraged me to grow. God took away a job I dearly loved and was good at. Then He kept nagging me to go to church. So I did. In that church I met some wonderful people. They took me to my current church on Tuesday night’s. Within a year, I was attending every week and can’t see myself anywhere else.
But we need to keep changing and growing. With God’s help we can learn to live godly lives. We can fulfill the plans He has for us. Without change we stagnate and grow weak.
So I want to encourage you to look at your life and see if you are changing or if you are stalled out.
Keep smiling, changing and praising God. Have a blessed day.
