“And saying, ‘Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.'” (Matthew 3:2 KJV)
“From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, ‘Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.'” (Matthew 4:7 KJV)
I have been reading Revelation for the last few mornings. Today I was reading about the plagues the angels will be pouring out. They don’t sound like fun. I don’t want to be around for them.
The phrase “Repent ye now for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” has been running through my mind. I have heard this phrase from various pastors over the years. So I looked it up. In addition to the above scriptures, I also found it in Mark 1:15. If that message is in so many places in the Bible, it must be important. So we need to listen to it.
Repent people. You don’t want to live through what’s coming. Think about it. Sores, water becoming like blood, the sun scorching everything and everyone, darkness. The Euphrates river drying up to allow for the kings armies of the east passage. Then an earthquake that destroys cities, mountains fall and islands disappear.
Does that make you want to repent? It should. Say this prayer. “Dear God, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
God bless everyone reading this. Send it on to people who need to hear it. We need to spread the word to everyone before it’s too late.
Have a great day everyone and stay safe.
