“The eternal God is your dwelling place and underneath are the everlasting arms. And he thrust out the enemy before you and said, destroy.” (Deuteronomy 33:27 ESV)

“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide a way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV)

I love the old hymns. I was listening to one last night, “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms”:

“What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
Leaning, leaning,
Safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms.”

Leaning on the Everlasting Arms

Read it closely. “What fellowship, what a joy devine.” You can’t beat a close relationship with Jesus. When you have problems, when you need help, Jesus is there, with open arms. He is waiting to catch you as you fall into His arms.

Jesus and His everlasting arms. Strong enough to carry you through the rough times. And soft enough to comfort you through the trials of life. Jesus is waiting for you to lean on Him. Lean on Him and let Him carry you through anything you may be going through today.

“Leaning, leaning, Safe and secure from all alarms.”

When you lean on Jesus, you are safe. The storms of life will come, but if you lean on the Rock of Ages, you will come out victorious. So whatever is going on in your life today, lean on Jesus. He is waiting with open arms.
