“The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” (Exodus 14:14 ESV)
“For the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.” (Deuteronomy 20:4 ESV)
Isn’t it nice to know we have someone in our corner who will fight for us? Someone who can move the mountains in our way?
On my way to church yesterday I heard a song I have never heard before. I really liked it, it struck a cord in me. It’s called: “There’s Nothing That Our God Can’t Do” by Passion Conferences:
“There’s nothing our God can’t do.
There’s Nothing That Our God Can’t Do by Passion Con
There’s not a mountain He can’t move.
Oh, praise the name that makes a way.
There’s nothing our God can’t do.”
I got to thinking about it. There really isn’t anything He can’t do. But then another song came on: “Battle Belongs” by Phil Wickham:
“So when I fight,
Battle Belongs by Phil Wickham
I’ll fight on my knees.
With my hands lifted high.
Oh God, the battle belongs to you.”
So if there is nothing God can’t do, why do I have to fight? In my opinion, and yes I am entitled to my opinion, God is fighting my battles, but I am praising Him while on my knees.
With just a little bit of faith, God will move mountains, He will fight for us. But we have to have faith first and trust that He is going to do it.
That’s not hard, is it? I used to think it was. But then my faith wasn’t what it should have been. Today my faith is strong because God has proven to me He will fight my battles for me.
Or should I say with me? I still have to do my part. I still need to pray, stand against the devil and praise God.
See? Easy peasy.
So if you have battles to fight or mountains blocking your path, build up your faith and start trusting God. There really isn’t anything our God can’t do. And the battle does belong to Him.
Have a blessed day.
