Stormy Weather Ahead

by | Nov 26, 2021 | Surrender, Trials

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” (Isaiah 26:3 ESV)

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:14 ESV)

There is a song called Promises by Maverick City:

“Though the storms may come,
And the winds may blow, I’ll remain steadfast.
And let my heart learn when You speak a word,
It will come to pass.”

Promises by Maverick City

It doesn’t matter what storm we may be facing or even in the middle of, God is working it out. He has it under control.
He doesn’t need our help. He does a better job when we just stay out of it.

I saw this sign in a friend’s office once. It said, “This is God. I will be handling all your problems today. Your assistance is not needed.” That’s it right there. If, and that is a big if, we let Him, He will work it out perfectly. No help from the peanut gallery is needed.

But how many times do we have a problem and give it to God, then take it back and try to fix it ourselves? I can’t count the number of times I have done this. I am sure God sat there for a minute waiting to see if I would snatch it right back out of His hands. I have done it so much. And there was no need. God handles our problems. He knew we would have the problem long before we did and already had the solution.

So whatever your problem is today, give it to God then leave it with him and walk away. He will fix it. His promises are true. If God promises something, it will come. Not in our timing but in His. His timing is perfect, ours not so much.

Have a great day everyone.
