“Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you.” (1 Samuel 12:24 ESV)
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” (Colossians 3:23-24 ESV)
I love to listen to Christian music. There are some really good songs out there right now. I heard Ten Thousand Reasons by Matt Redman:
“The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning;
10,000 Reasons by Matt Redman
It’s time to sing Your song again.
Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me,
Let me be singing when the evening comes.”
This is my goal. I want to be singing God praises as I wake up, go through my day, and as I go to bed at night. I want praises to him to be on my lips.
Another verse says:
“You’re rich in love and You’re slow to anger,
10,000 Reasons by Matt Redman
Your Name is great and Your heart is kind;
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing,
Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find.”
Now I can’t come up with that many reasons but I can come up with one: I love God and He loves me.
That is the only reason I need.
How about you? God deserves our praise. He deserves our love.
Let’s all sing praises to our God today and everyday. Storm the throne room with songs of praise. Make God smile and say, “Those are my kids. Such a sweet sound.”
