“Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment and this shows that we have not fully experienced His perfect love.” (1 John 4:18 NKJ)
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 NKJ)
I remember singing in Sunday school, He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands:
“He’s got the whole world in His hands.
He’s got the whole wide world in His hands.
He’s got the whole world in His hands.
He’s got the whole world in His hands.”
You just sang that didn’t you? Admit it. I did.
I was thinking about this last night. I got this picture in my head. God is balancing the earth on one finger, spinning it. You know, like basketball players do. I then wondered if God ever dropped it, like basketball players do. Of course not! He couldn’t drop us. He may try to fake us out occasionally but He would never drop us.
But what if He got really mad at us? He promised never to destroy us by flood again, but He never said anything about not spinning the earth so fast we flew off. I can just see people everywhere floating in space.
I’m just kidding. God loves us. He wants us to love him. If He didn’t, would He have sent his Son to die for us on the cross? I don’t think so. So no matter how bad you think you are, God loves you and has plans for your life. So why not start right now? Repent of your sins. Then ask Jesus into your heart. Then live your life for God. Do the job he has set out for you. Don’t ever forget, God loves you and while you are still breathing, it’s not too late. Have an awesome day!
