“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” (Isaiah 43:28-29 NKJ)
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJ)
I had the opportunity yesterday to see the sun rise. As I sat in my car watching, I started to ponder things. For one, why was I up so early? But it was worth it. God really is a great painter. The early morning sky was an assorted of reds, yellows and oranges. I wish I had a better view but where I was gave me good show.
But then I started thinking. I know, it was pretty early for me to be thinking. God gave me another day to serve Him. How would I do that?
First of all, I went to a food pantry that gives out a lot of food. With that food, I was able to help a lot of people. God did say “feed my people.” Or was it sheep? Either way, a lot of people got helped yesterday.
While I was waiting, I pulled out my tablet. I pulled up the Bible app I have on it and started reading. Right now I am reading Revelations. If that doesn’t scare you into getting saved, I don’t know what will. Did you know God gives us second chances? He will give us a do over if we ask Him nicely. He will give us a new beginning every morning.
If you woke this morning, and I really hope you did, you got another chance. If you didn’t wake up, go play with my dog until I get to heaven. He always liked to play with us.
God loves us. He wants us to learn from our mistakes and get it right. That’s why we get a new day and another chance. So if God let you have another day, don’t waste it. Do something to serve our Father. You won’t regret it.
Have a blessed day.
