“The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord.” (Proverbs 8:28 ESV)
“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1 ESV)
According to google, coincidence is, “A remarkable concurrence of events or circumstances without apparent causal connection.”
And for those who don’t know, concurrence is “the fact of 2 or more events or circumstances happening or existing at the same time.”
I have had a few times where I would consider it a coincidence. But some would say there is no such thing as a coincidence. They say everything happens for a reason. I do believe everything happens for a reason but we can change our life by the choices we make.
Just last night I had the devotional ready to go. I decided to delete old text messages. I deleted everything. Including my devotional. I have 3 groups I text daily. Fifty-eight people are in those 3 groups. I deleted all 3 groups. I did not lose my contacts but I did lose my groups. I had to go through my contact list.
Coincidence? Probably not, but I have been thinking I need to go through my contacts and get rid of the ones I no longer need. By having to redo my groups, I learned what contacts I need to delete and which ones to keep. I had a really good devotional ready and maybe one day I will remember all of it and post it. But for now, God is taking our “coincidences” and turning them into learning moments. I learned I need to pay more attention to what I delete. But I also learned I have way too many contacts I no longer need on my phone.
So if you have a coincidence today, check it out and see if God has a lesson in it for you.
God bless you all and stay safe in this heat.
