“Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18 ESV)

Did your Momma teach you manners? Like please and thank you? Yes ma’am or yes sir or no ma’am or no sir? Let me ask you this. If you have kids are you teaching them manners? Are you teaching them to be polite? To respect God, their country and their elders?

A lot of kids and young adults don’t have manners and are definitely not polite now days.

Now here’s another question for you. Do you thank God for things?

I have learned, yes the hard way, that if I thank God for everything, life is a whole lot better. Things go smoother. Life just gets a little better when I remember to thank God first.

Ok, test time. Do you thank God for something before your get it? I have started thanking God for things before they manifest. God wants our thanks. I need a new car. Actually what I want is a mini van. It is bigger, I can take my wheelchair or rollator walker with me easier. But payments are not in my budget right now. Doesn’t matter. God has it under control. He has the vehicle I need and it’s coming. I thank him for it everyday. I can see it sitting in my parking spot. So why don’t you start thanking God for things you want and see what happens. I think you will pleasantly surprised.
