“And he said, ‘My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.'” (Exodus 16:11 ESV)

“Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence?” (Psalm 139:7 ESV)

I sang the following song all morning yesterday. I felt so at peace all day:

“Let the rain of Your presence fall on me
Every day that I live with every breath I breathe
Let the rain of Your presence fall on me
Every where that I go
Lord let Your presence flow Rain on me.
Love Divine Joy unspeakable
Overflowing in my soul.
This heart of mine is refreshed and at rest
In Your presence, in Your presence.”

God is always with us. He never leaves us alone, even though you may think so at times. But let me tell you this. He didn’t leave you. You pulled away and can’t feel him close, but he is still right beside you, waiting for you to turn back to him.

I love this little song.

“Love divine, joy unspeakable.
Overflowing in my soul.”

That is exactly how I felt yesterday. That is God! That is how I feel pretty much every day.

Since the “plague” hit, I have spent more time alone. That means I have had more opportunities to be alone with the one true person who loves me unconditionally and always. God!

God has brought people into my life this past year with the daily scriptures. Some who I have never met and may never meet until we get to heaven.

The daily texts have been fun for me until I accidently delete the groups and have to scramble to figure out who was on them. I can see God on his throne shaking his head and saying, “She did it again. For goodness sake WRITE THEM DOWN!”

And I did. Finally.

But it’s always such a sweet time in His presence. I enjoy my alone time with my heavenly Father.

Try it sometime. It will change how you think about things. And enjoy the peace it brings.
