The Miracle of Multiplication: There Is ALWAYS Hope, Part 14

“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.”(John 6:44 NIV)

As our Bible Club in my elementary school continued, I became concerned that it was only attracting those who were already Christians. I need not have worried, for suddenly many of the students began coming to me asking how to become a follower of Christ!

I puzzled over this. How could this be, because I wasn’t personally doing anything other than hosting the Bible Club to bring these students to Christ. When God is in charge, however, it isn’t about what “we” are doing. Rather, it’s about what HE is doing! And this is what He was doing:

The students who regularly attended Bible Club began talking to their friends. They were so excited about Jesus that their friends began to want what they saw in the Bible Club attendees. I often had students coming to me to tell me that one of their friends had become a Christian and would start attending Bible Club the following week.

One girl, for example, came to Bible Club one week crying. I asked if I could help her, and she said that one of her friends had told her about Jesus and she had accepted Him as her Saviour. Her tears were tears of excitement and joy. She began attending Bible Club regularly and her excitement was catchy.

We never knew from week to week who would attend and who would give their heart to Christ, but it was apparent that more and more of our students were talking with more and more of their friends, because new attendees didn’t stop! The students called it a miracle, and it certainly was. And thanks to the fact that we had permission from all of the parents, there was no problem continuing the Bible Club. This would never have happened without our Heavenly Father being in control. He is amazing! This miracle of multiplication is something only He can do! Nothing can stop our Heavenly Father! He reigns!

But God’s miracles through the Bible Club aren’t confined to the Bible Club alone. Each of you reading this can be His hands and feet as well, just like my students were. When you are excited for the Lord, your friends will notice. They will ask questions. You will have the opportunity to invite them to church. All you need to do is to ask the help of Jesus, and He will guide you! There is ALWAYS hope!
