Ants scurry along their pathways, busy working, collecting, and storing. They’re so tiny as to be insignificant to us, and yet beyond the frantic busyness that we human beings see, we tend to overlook that their one main purpose in life is to honour their queen, by providing for and defending her!

Oh, that we would be so focused and determined during every waking moment of our days, that our main purpose would be to honour our Sovereign too; but in our case, it would be by serving and defending our Lord and Master, our eternal, everlasting King — Jesus!

Colossians 3:23-24 – And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. (NKJV)

Prayer: Abba, Father, we pray that You will guide us during our waking hours, that we may honour You in all that we do! We pray that we will serve You and defend Your honour always. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
