Hello My Friend!

Hello, my friend!

Thanks to all who sent cards and wishes to help me celebrate my birthday. I love you all!

I also love being 60!

I never thought I’d say that. My worry and fear of it all was foolish. You see it finally hit me that simply being alive trumps all fear.

Want to know what my birthday was like

All I can say is the night before It involved a limo for the entire evening. We stayed out until 1:00 a.m. which required a nap earlier in the day.

We had dinner at a fantastic hibachi restaurant.

On my birthday I was taken to a  Recording session planned by my son Keith. Many years ago while in my first band, I recorded “Quinn the Eskimo” for our own amusement. Keith arranged for me to do it again, this time with him playing the drums!

At 4:00 we were to have a small intimate party with about six to eight people. Turned out to be 22 and a full buffet in my home.

I actually discovered that my wife, Marianne actually listens to me when I dream out loud.

I always wanted to fly like a bird. She arranged for me to fly in a glider plane.

I always wanted to tap dance. She bought me real taps shoes and a “How to tap” dvd.

So, 60 looks and feels like it’s going to be a great year. Why would I think otherwise The first 59 were also.

Marianne, you are an incredibly, remarkable Woman and the greatest gift of all! Love you, Baby!

NOTE: In all the years I have been writing for you I have never once written about political things or an opinion piece on news of the day. It was a rule I set. This story today, depending on how you see it,  May very well break that rule.

In reality I am talking to God…
