It is by faith we have this hope,
this hope in God’s own Son.
It is by faith in trials of life,
in Jesus Christ, our faith is born.

By faith Noah obeyed the command
to build an ark.
Because of things not yet revealed,
in fear he built the ark.

Long years of hardship and labor,
fulfilling God’s plan for his life,
Noah left a legacy of obedience
for his children and his wife.

Abraham was called by faith,
to journey to a foreign land.
As he obeyed he fulfilled the plan
by faith from God’s own hand.

It is by faith we look to Him,
to lead us through this life
and by faith in a Living God,
we overcome the toil and strife.

Matt: 21:21-22 “Jesus answered and said unto them, “Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree; but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”

When I lay down at night to sleep, I have faith the bed will not fall down. I must tell you, my faith is sometimes misplaced; beds have been known to collapse; so you cannot say with all certainty that they are faithful.

Moreover, I have faith when I sit in a chair, it will hold my weight. These also have been known to be unreliable.

People; friends; relatives have a habit of disappointing us.

Governments; city, county, state and federal have a reputation for being undependable.

Business, companies of every color and hue are known to defraud people. Who among us have not had some experience in which we are in a position of being defrauded or had a business representative lie to us? Business of every kind, prove over and over again they cannot be trusted.

In every walk of life we come across those who, for the sake of acquiring an extra buck or more; the almighty dollar, will lie, cheat and steal.

So, you might ask who can you trust? Who can one put their faith in?

The answer is: there is only One; Jesus, the risen Lord and Son of the Living God is the only One we can truly put our faith in. He is completely faithful and trust worthy.
